Costars Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey arrived for The Cinema Society's screening of "Mud," presented by FIJI Water, Sunday in New York City.

Reese Witherspoon was all smiles Sunday night at the New York City premiere of her new flick, "Mud," but the Oscar-winning actress won't be gracing the small screen this week to promote the film -- at least not any time soon, reports the Washington Post. Witherspoon canceled this week's appearances on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and "Good Morning America" following a run-in with the law and pulling the "Do you know my name?" line that landed her in Atlanta jail.

The "Legally Blonde" star issued an apology Monday for her "one drink too many" behavior with husband, Jim Toth, who was arrested for DUI Friday.

The couple's court hearing, originally slated for Monday, has been rescheduled for May 22. Toth, who blew a .139 in his sobriety test, may face more serious consequences than his wife -- legally, personally, and professionally -- but still "feels awful that he involved Reese in the situation," a source told People Magazine.

As for the actress, Washington Post sources say neither TV appearance has been rescheduled.

Too bad for Witherspoon: Jimmy Kimmel still found room to snark on her arrest on his own late-night show Monday night. According to US Weekly, the comedian poked fun at the situation, saying:

"The police report says she asked the cop 'Do you know my name? You're about to find out who I am.' Does that ever work? 'Do you know who I am?' is second only to 'Do you know who my father is?'" the 45-year-old quipped on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "It's a bad question because the answer is either 'no' -- which is embarrassing -- or 'yes, and you're going to jail.'"
