Angelina Jolie, actress and humanitarian campaigner, arrived at the G8 Foreign Ministers summit in London in April.

Angelina Jolie announced yesterday in a New York Times op-ed that she has undergone a double mastectomy in recent months as a preventative measure after finding out she carried a gene that gives her a high risk of developing breast cancer.

Today People.com is reporting that she will have her ovaries removed as well. There is no official word from Jolie, however. The People.com report says she still faces a 50 percent risk of developing ovarian cancer because of the gene. Jolie's mother died of ovarian cancer in 2007.

Her dad, veteran actor John Voight, spoke with E! News about Jolie's medical situation and how she revealed it in this report. And read how the stars reacted to Jolie's news yesterday on Twitter.
