It just isn't Justin Bieber's day. Or week.

The pop superstar's friend, Lil Twist, was arrested for allegedly driving Bieber's car drunk, he cursed former president Bill Clinton (and later apologized), and to top it off, he sent hockey fans into a frenzy after disrespecting the Blackhawks' logo while posing with the Stanley Cup. Oof.

Bieber hung out with the Cup at the United Center before his Chicago concert on Tuesday, and broke an unwritten rule of hockey by standing on the team's logo while posing for a picture.

Blackhawks right winger Andrew Shaw quickly pointed out Bieber's error on Twitter, and later said he hoped the pop singer was treated well in Chicago.

Shaw's teammate Brandon Bollig went as far as to compare Bieber to San Jose Sharks player Raffi Torres. Torres, formerly of the Phoenix Coyotes, is a veritable villain in the Chicago sports world for delivering a late, high hit to Blackhawks star Marian Hossa during the opening round of the 2012 playoffs that sent Hossa out on a stretcher.

The Chicago Blackhawks took home the Cup on June 24 when they defeated the Bruins in Game 6 of the finals. (Apologies if we reopened a fresh wound).

The team's senior director of media and community relations, Brandon Faber, told ESPN that Bieber was apologetic for the misstep.

"As frequently happens with guests into our room, Justin inadvertently stepped on the team logo on the floor but moved off quickly once immediately reminded. He was apologetic and understanding of the tradition but continued to take photos with the Cup and some young fans. He was extremely genuine and kind with his time. We appreciate his enthusiasm toward hockey and wish him well with the remainder of his tour."

As much as Faber tried to paint Bieber in a positive light, some people couldn't forgive the error. SportsNation went as far as to say the trophy isn't cool anymore because Bieber touched it.

Do you think it's as egregious of an error as people are making it out to be? Do you forgive the Biebs? Let us know in the comments.
