Mariah Carey was hospitalized in New York late Sunday after injuring her shoulder while filming a music video for a remix of her single "#Beautiful" with rapper Young Jeezy. The 43-year-old pop diva's husband, Nick Cannon, was directing the video when Carey dislocated her shoulder during the shoot. The singer was rushed to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery where doctors reset her shoulder, and according to the five-time Grammy winner's rep Cindi Berger, Carey is currently "fine and is recovering at home."
"#Beautiful" is the first single from Carey's new album "The Art of Letting Go," scheduled for release this year, and was originally recorded with R&B singer Miguel. According to the New York Post, Carey is set to keep her commitment to perform on Central Park's Great Lawn July 13 for a Hurricane Sandy benefit, but a source says "it is likely she will have her arm in a sling."
