Jennifer Lawrence is our hero. Why? Because who else could pull off nothing but blue body paint and yellow contacts.

The 23-year-old's naked-ish bod is splashed across the March cover of Empire magazine to promote her portrayal of shapeshifting Mystique in the newest "X-Men" installment, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Lawrence first took on the role of Mystique in "X-Men: First Class" (2011).

It took seven hours each day to transform the Oscar-winner into the blue chameleon-like character, according to E!, but she won't be the only "X-Men" character to grace the mag's March issue. A slew of other "X-Men" characters, including Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Michael Fassbender's Megneto, will be featured as well when the publication hits newsstands.

Catch the cast in the film when it hits theaters on May 23.
