"Footloose" star Kevin Bacon wants you to know that the '80s were tough. Like, totally tough.
"All you guys born after 1985 have no idea how hard life was," said the 55-year-old actor. "If I was too shy to ask a girl out, there was no OK Twinder. I went to the white pages -- Google it -- and called her house."
In his PSA-style short for Mashable, Bacon calls out millennials for their dependency on technology and reminds them that Cold War was a pretty stressful time for America.
Back in the dayl: "You couldn't even skateboard to a Blockbuster without getting nuked."
Bacon's video coincides with the One Degree of social media session at SXSW, where he proved he could close the gap of association by creating a Vine clip, panning on the audience.
Bacon peaces out of his just-under-two-minute clip, scowling woefully at a texting-happy crowd outside of Masahble: "You guys will never know the comfort of parachute pants."
Truth, Bacon. Ain't that the truth.
