Lady Gaga’s bizarre antics are barely a shock these days. So when she took to the stage at the 2014 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas, yesterday hog-tied to a large roasting spit, it seemed to be the start to a fairly normal show. Queue the fake vomit, and things took a turn toward the fine line between artistic and disturbing.

After telling the audience "I haven't showered. I've been drinking all week. And eating,” the pop star swung her blond dreads in a lively rendition of the song Manicure. Shortly after, she was joined on stage by a woman with a mysterious bottle of green liquid. The woman proceeded to down the liquid, then forced herself to upchuck the substance all over Gaga as she sang the song Swine. The pair repeated the stunt later in the show, riding atop of a mechanical-bull-like pig with a ball-gag. This time, however, the liquid was black.

"Do me a favor and don't post this show," she told the audience. Her performance has gone viral nonetheless.

The concert, sponsored by Doritos as a benefit to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, admitted entry only to those who completed a “Doritos Bold Mission.” More than 2,000 fans were rewarded with tickets after participating in a series of tasks that forced them to “step out of their comfort zone,” such as raising money as a street performer or trading their suitcases and everything in them for a Doritos suitcase.

Other acts of the artist’s creative vision included a woman eating barbecued sausages in a provocative manner and a heartfelt and somber rendition of the song Dope. In true Gaga fashion, the show was a blend of passionate lyricals and bizarre stunts – and every bit as weird as Austin had hoped for.
