7. Michael Jackson involuntary manslaughter trial
Two years after his death, legendary entertainer Michael Jackson continued to make news. In 2011, it was the trial of his physician, Conrad Murray (right), who was accused of killing the pop star by administering a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol, that snagged headlines. Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in November and given the maximum sentence of four years in prison.
