Joan Baez banned at hospital

The folk singer and antiwar activist told The Washington Post that she had planned to perform with rocker John Mellencamp for recovering soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital on April 27, but days before the concert, she was told she could not. Baez, a self-proclaimed advocate for nonviolence, said she didn't know why her performance wasn't approved.
