Deval is everywhere...
Deval Patrick is on the move today. The guv started his day at the InterContinental Boston, delivering a speech on government affairs to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. (He's pictured here with InterContinental GM Tim Kirwan.) And he's expected to end the night at Dorchester’s Strand Theater, celebrating the east coast premier of the HBO documentary, “The Black List, Vol. 2.” Filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, Executive Producer Tommy Walker, and Mayor Tom Menino were also expected to attend the screening and Q&A session. Patrick is featured in the film, in which notable African Americans – including Laurence Fishburne, Tyler Perry, Maya Rudolph, and Angela Davis – share candid stories and insights into black life in America. The film airs next Thursday on HBO; a portion of the proceeds will benefit the United Negro College Fund and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
And no, that's not a leopard tie on the guv. It's just a funky pattern...
