Before they head to Gisele Bundchen's seaside spread in Costa Rica, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brady are spending some quality time together in LA. The paparazzi caught the couple chilling with the QB's kid, John, on a balcony in Pacific Palisades the other day, and clothing was optional. Maybe it's because he's got a bum knee, but Brady looks a little soft, not as beefcake as we expected.

  1. It's nice to see him hanging out with his son. I think Tom looks great - can't wait to see him on the field again! Counting down the days to training camp :)

  1. "..a little soft, not as beefcake as we expected." Are you kidding me? He looks hot and could melt the 12 inches of snow in my back yard.

  1. Tom Brady can do no wrong for me. The only person missing from that picture is #81 Randy Moss.

  1. Team Bridget? She "pulled the goalie" when she knew she was getting dumped. How can you support that? Go back and check the timing on everything. For years we heard "Bridget wants a family but Tom isn't ready" etc. etc. Then they break up. Then 3 months later, surprise! She's pregnant and names the kid J-E-T. At least she has a rockin' acting career!

  1. ...they don't look so happy to me....

  1. Athletes don't have to look like body builders. Case in point: Shaq, Big Ben, Glen Davis, Vince Wilfork. none of them are cut and defined but they're all as strong as anyone in their profession.

  1. Bridget is a very nice and pretty woman but she's too old for him. BTW a 37 year old woman doesn't "forget to take her pill".

  1. I dont care who he married or didnt marry I just can not wait for Mr. #12 to be on the field...

  1. Dang...he is a nice lookin' boy.
"soft"-where? What I am lookin' at seems pretty buff to me....

  1. Disagree. I think he looks better here than he has after seasons that he played. Also, isn't this blog sinking to the Track (Hack) Gals level? I expect more from the Globe.

  1. Soft?

What do you look like, Mark Shanahan?

  1. They should've traded him.

    The circus is in town.

TMZ will be at every game, in his face.

He should be out in LA with Manny.

  1. i wish i looked that soft!

  1. he WILL NOT be as good on the field as the "old tom"...forget the looks...he is a sports star not a model - this last year of BS will pan out to the pats not making it deep in the postseason if they make ti at all.

Posted by FatMike March 4, 09 04:21 PM
  1. I'd like to look that soft.

  1. "Tom take out the garbage! Tom, feed the kid! Tom, change his diaper! Tom, brush my hair! Tom, paint my toenails! Tom, put a shirt on and get in the house!" Yeah, Tom Bundschen is ready.......

  1. joe944s, would you be happy if you couldn't even go out on your balcony without the paparazzi taking pictures of you and your family?

  1. Since when do we care about appearance? HE"S A FOOTBALL PLAYER!!!!! You wonder why everyone is worried about Brady being distracted? It's this type of bogus "journalism" that creates it. Stop worrying about his looks, and start worrying about his playing ability.

  1. Look like puff not buff..but cut him some slack..there's plenty of time to trim.

  1. I think the Pat's should of waited to trade Matt Cassel...sorry Brady I've always been a fan but coming back from that kind of injury is going to be tough!!!

  1. Geez.......Tom should share his donuts and twinkies with Giselle. Look at her poor, skinny little arms.

  1. Can the Brady "buff" calendar be far behind?
    I''m liking March already! :-)
    Lordy....

  1. Geezz can we leave the guy alone and let him get on with his life. I'm fine with the fact that he's married and why wouldn't he marry her, and vice versa. They are two of the most beautiful people in the world, props to them. My concern is if there is marriage trouble off the field that will spill over onto the field...and there's sure to be trouble off the field at some point! I still love him though..GO PATS!!

  1. Some of you people are none too bright.

Tom Brady is in better shape than 99% of humans. Son is SOLID in that pic. Compare that to pics when he first came out of Michigan. He has undergone a significant transformation, something that most of you haters wouldn't have 1/10th the discipline necessary to accomplish. If he needed to drop a few percent of body fat he could do it in less than a month. The regular season doesn't start for 6 months anyways.

Tom Brady is by all accounts one of the most disciplined and preparation obsessed players in the game. Hello?? I can't believe the guy is getting hated on on a BOSTON site. He will be more than ready for the season and the Pats will start ripping the NFL up once more. They are the favorites to win in all at 6-1. Apparently Vegas has more respect for Tom Brady than some of his hometown "fans"

As for dating Giselle, god forbid he reaps some of the benefits of his towering success and marries a model. And don't even get me started on Bridget...anyone with half a brain knows what went down there. Kudos to Brady for raising his son as he should in a difficult situation.

  1. I agree that they don't look very happy. Look at the body language. He's hanging over the balcony thinking 'should I jump? or throw her off?' And look at her sourpuss face, dumpy sweatpants and t-shirt. Amazing how hideous she looks when she doesn't have a makeup artist, hairdresser and stylist to morph her. (Bridget Moynahan is a natural beauty and still looks fab even after having the baby). Gisele is every guys nightmare- you married a supermodel and woke up with Alice the maid. And he does look flabby. Maybe fewer beachside feedings by the Brazilian ball and chain and a few more hours in the gym would help. But honestly, Brady's lost his edge amd we were stupid enough to trade Cassell.

  1. The first thought that went through my mind when I saw that picture. "My, my, Tom's looking a little fleshy these days." My second thought. "Boy, am I tired of hearing about Tom Brady's personal life."

  1. looks like a beefcake to me! yummmmmmmmmyyy!!

Posted by BOSTON March 5, 09 10:16 AM
  1. He looks perfect. He's only "flabby" by Hollywood starlet standards. But athletes need to be buff, not anorexic. WTF, Globe??

  1. Why does everybody blame the woman when there is a pregnancy. Did Brady not know he was dumping her and had to have one more free shot of unprotected sex... serves him right.

Posted by Patty March 5, 09 06:49 PM
  1. You guys are all forgetting, tom brady was never a physical specimen, he was always small and a little flabby, doesnt make him less sexy tho

Posted by tom March 5, 09 09:50 PM
  1. The Patriots wouldn't have traded Cassel if Brady wasn't going to be the same old Brady. The management there continues to make great decision after great decision lets not freak out (look at their draft selections in late rounds). Brady is a legend and until Cassel gets 3 rings in KC then we can start comparing them fairly. I can't believe he is being hated on a pro-Boston site. What is this? It's not like he's taking steroids. *cough* A-Rod *cough*

  1. One more year in NE for Tom, then the Pats will pull a Joe Montana and trade him after hopefully a healthy year while he still has some value. Belicheck will be in the commentary booth doing the color in two years.
