Gisele Bundchen calls her new hubby "naive" and likens him to a child in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. The Brazilian supermodel, who wed the Pats QB two weeks ago in LA, says Tom Brady is a "good guy... He has a very pure heart. He's very naive, almost like a child. That is my favorite quality about him. One thing that I thought was so amazing when I first met him is that he is innocent. He sees the world with colored glasses." Bundchen also reiterates her desire to start a family. "I want to have a big family. My parents have been together for 36 years, and that is what I want...I love kids. It's amazing that I have the opportunity to hang out with my stepson all the time." That, of course, would be John Edward Thomas Moynahan, Brady's boy with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

  1. Nothing new there. Most people from other countries find Americans naive.

  1. The emasculation of Tom Brady continues.

  1. I could think of worse things to come home to...She can keep Tom relaxed in the pocket!

  1. You know, I really could care less about his personal life.
I just want him on the field again winning games.
Spiker: Honestly-that was unnecessary. They guy can have a life...that includes a girlfriend YOU only dream about. He is in love, he got married...just like a lot of other NFL football players.
Because he is this centuries greatest players-he makes headlines.

  1. No more Super Bowl victories for the Patriots. Brady's gone soft.

  1. Miss Gisele will eventually get tired of his "child-like" personality. I give this marriage 5 years - tops. She's used to hanging out with the Euro - trash and Tommy boy just can't keep up. ( Thank God ).

  1. Spiker -

Some people claim he's gone soft. I dont know about the rest of Boston, but I actually prefer my quarterback to have sex with uber-hot underwear models when he's not throwing TD passes.

  1. Take it from a woman. It is difficult to emasculate Tom Brady any more than he has been all his life. Wake up fellas. Just because a guy plays football and gets married doesn't prove anything.

  1. Nah, Spiker, he's always been a kid. That's why nothing's impossible for him.

  1. Oh spare me. The guy's gone soft because he's in love? Have you ever seen this guy in person? He's a giant. I'll bet most of the pseudo-macho guys who post comments like that would love to be half so soft. Go hyperventilate on talk radio.

  1. I think the home in CA is for Gisele's convenience. She has done many, many photo ops and interviews lately that are based in CA. Jack is just the excuse for the public and Tom's image.

  1. Maybe Gisele wants good genes for her children and then will dump him once he produces a few genetically gifted children.....

  1. Congratulations to him! Do you think he ever imagined, when he was sitting on the bench behind Brian Griese at Michigan that he'd be a multi-millionaire, married to the world's top supermodel and jet-setting around the globe?

  1. GOD!!!!! Are they ever going to give Tom a break. This man's life is complete now. He's married a very beauiful, wealthy woman and I know he's choppin at the bit to get back on the field. Just watch his somke this year!!

  1. If Giselle married him it proves he's more of a man than Leo DiCaprio to handle her. Ouch!!!

  1. Let's play football, who cares about their personal lives. What she said was a compliment to him with regards to being a nice guy. Of course the choice of words might raise eyebrows but you have to remember that her first language is Brazilian Portuguese and although she speaks English very well she isn't completely fluent. The gist of what she is saying is very different and of course magazines and newspapers want to print it differently to sell since they are losing business as it is..

  1. Hey Cappy68 I am assuming you know that she is not European. She's Brazilian (that is on a whole other continent). And that her previous boyfriend was American. Do you even know what Eurotrash is? Educate yourself a bit before you start slagging-off someone for living their life.

  1. As usual, the reader comments are far funnier and more entertaining than the "news story."

  1. Well, Brady is obviously a very cool and relaxed type of guy. I suppose I would be too if I was 6'5" tall, had girls all over me all my life, and played a game for my career. Personally, I don't really find Bundchen all that attractive. I mean, she's obviously decent looking, but I think she really isn't that pretty. Her nose is too big, and I bet she has huge feet and hands. I don't get why supermodels have to be so tall. It's like Uma Thurman, that woman is enormous! Her feet are as big as Shaquille Oneals!

  1. I've asked before and I'll ask again; how many Superbowls does a man have to bring to town before some of you Mass ****s give a guy a break. Geez, a Superbowl winner married to a gorgeous and hot Brazilian model who does a ton of charity work AND is a nice guy can't win your respect? Something tells me he doesn't need your approval.

Posted by TK March 11, 09 04:31 PM
  1. Why not just wish them the best as a couple, and Tom a speedy and healthy recovery onto the field and leave it at that.

Posted by AW March 11, 09 04:32 PM
  1. leave him alone. he's nobody's pushover. I don't care what he does with his personal life - it's personal! I just want him back on the football field, healthy and throwing passes to randy moss and friends.

Posted by linda March 11, 09 04:45 PM
  1. TK - A ton of charity work? A photo op here and there. Great football player - yes. Married to a model - why is this news?

    Posted by M Underhill March 11, 09 04:46 PM
  1. This is all part of a Bill Belichick plot to lull the defenses of the league into a trance before the next phase of Shock and Awe commences.

Posted by PleaseTaxMeMore March 11, 09 04:47 PM
  1. Yeah....like any one of you bozos would do anything differently if you were in his shoes. Wait 'til August and visit training camp - air your grievances with the 6'4", 230 lb. "softy" - we'll see who goes soft then....won't we? He's the king of the world and you can't stand it. What a bunch of losers.

  1. Once again, the Internet proves how difficult it is to convey sarcasm. Make no mistake, I am a devout Sox/Pats/Celts/Bruins fan and have proven my bona fides by suriving as a fan while living in NJ. Pictures of Brady adorn my son's room and he has two Brady jerseys.

All that being said, I'm glad Tom got to keep his maiden name. ;)

  1. A pure heart is a wonderful thing. Would that any of our elected officials had one. TB will be back better than ever this year. And God bless Gisele for loving her stepson.

Posted by BigBillyG March 11, 09 05:13 PM
  1. These comments are totally ridiculous. Gone soft? Is Tom Brady only allowed to play football and sleep with ugly women he meets in Kansas City to avoid being "emasculated"? Maybe these comments are all just Dan Shaughnessy writing in with pseudonyms.

Posted by Adam March 11, 09 05:35 PM
  1. The guy has fulfilled everybody's childhood fantasy. Be a football superstar and marry an exotic supermodel. You may only voice your opinion if you at least match that.

Posted by wickedated March 11, 09 05:38 PM
  1. Can't wait to date a supermodel, can't wait to sue my dad. Can't wait to wreck a ferari, on my to rehab. Cause when you're a celebrity, it's adios reality!

  1. WayneN captured the spirit of Bundchen's comments. As a native Brazilian, I would have translated the expression "child-like" as "free-spirited" or "care-free." However, the literal translation into English makes it sound like she is claiming Brady to be "immature" or something more associated with children. It is easy to lose the meaning of the comment in this translation. I interpret her comments to mean that she believes that Brady is a"free-spirited person, one that believes in the best in people."

  1. Hear! Hear! TK! That is so true!! These losers who have probably gone physically soft, bored at work, no future, unhappy in romance, these guys can sit at their keyboards and b**ch about one of the most physically and mentally gifted athletes in the world, handsome beyond belief, and a multi, multi-millionaire? On top of that, he's married to one of the richest, smartest, hottest, most gorgeous super-models in the world. A girl with a big heart, too boot.!
Uh...do you think maybe they're a little jealous?

Posted by FransBevy March 11, 09 06:26 PM
  1. Tom Brady could marry Barney the dinosaur for all I care. Barney can call him soft and squishy in a Boy's Life magazine interview. Come opening weekend, Brady under center is all I care about.

  1. Gisele is not naive. She wants power. And a big family. A big family with the name Brady. A name which will have many times the political power in New England than the old man Kennedy could have ever imagined.

There are 12 US Senate seats in New England. Gisele wants the majority to have the name Brady. Just because she is getting older, doesn't mean she has lost any ambition.

  1. #13 GoPatriots is correct! Tom lacks negative thinking and attitude, thats why he is where he is with who he is. He didn't act like something he wasn't, even in the '01 superbowl..time running out, he spiked the ball to stop the clock, and caught it, and tossed it to the ref without any stress. It was like he was playing the younger kids in the neighborhood, he let them score a couple, but had to win the game regardless.

Same thing with Gisele. Most guys would 'try to be' what they thought they 'would need to be' to have a supermodel. It why so many guys are afraid of beautiful women. Notice at a bar next time very few guys have guts to go up to the prettiest girl, but everyone stares, makes up their rumors, and probably makes fun of the guy that finally gets the girl. Like this thread.

Good Luck Tom, you are a good role model.

  1. Since Tom has been with Gisele, he has had child out of wedlock,
LOST a Superbowl, and suffered a near-career-ending injury.
What more do we need to see??

  1. Is it really a question who ANYONE would want to be the starting quarterback of your football team? All those people who want to write some they want to believe is true, please tell me they would not trade what they have, for what they wish they could have. Enjoy Tom, NE will always be your home and be proud to call you our own.

  1. football is a relatively brief period in a guy's life. Brady has already had one of the greatest careers of all time. what is so bad about getting married to Gisele? life goes on if you are a normal person. but if you are a mentally deficient pats fan everything is supposed to stay the same.

Posted by jerry March 12, 09 01:50 AM
  1. The only important issue here is diet...yes, that's right boyz! Brady has continued to lose weigh, and given a model's typical diet, I am assuming he eats what she eats, a lot of the time. Bad idea. Good if you're a model, but he needs to up the protein and fat levels in a way that would never suit her. Other than that, who cares, and good for him if he is happy.

Posted by sue March 12, 09 08:33 AM
  1. Can I just be honest...is it just me or does anyone else seriously think GIsele is too skinny to be attractive? I dunno...maybe it's just me...but if I can count every one of your ribs...yuck.
PS - anyone who thinks Brady isn't going to kick ass this season doesn't know Brady. This is a guy who pulled himself up by his bootstraps every step of the way. He's fiercely competitive, even if he is "naive" around Gisele.

  1. I can't believe people are all over this comment. His wife complimented him for being a great person and he is called soft. Give him a break already. He hasn't run a dogfight ring, he doesn't get wasted at bars and arrested drving home drunk and he doesn't have charges against him for beating up a woman. How many on here bashing him wouldn't love to be in his shoes for a day and you'll be the same people cheering for him this year if he has a great season.

Posted by anon March 12, 09 10:05 AM
  1. Why do people get so worked up when two beautiful people are happy together?
Are they not allowed the same "normal" things in life that we are?

Good for them for doing the things that "ordinary" people do - fall in love, get married, want to have a family, and yes, occasionally even admit that their partner isn't perfect!

All I can say is I do hope love & marriage is good for him because we need him BAD now that Matt is gone....if Brady gets hurt, now what?

The problem is, because he is now a star, he will never meet an ordinary girl.

  1. Gee, ya think maybe Gisele's publicist suggested this? It works like this:

Gi calls Tom "naive" and child-like to generate some buzz and also subtly distance her sexual image from him (see, by implication she's still the mysterious and worldly international sex goddess). So they stay in the public eye and Gi keeps up the mystique that gives men a reason to still keep her poster up in the mancaves everywhere and fantasize about her.

    Amateurs.
