As we told you a few weeks back, Brandeis film studies chairwoman Alice Kelikian is bringing 21-year-old adult film star Sasha Grey to campus April 30 to screen Steven Soderbergh's new film, "The Girlfriend Experience," in which Grey plays a call girl. The film won raves at a test screening at the Sundance Film Festival and is having its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival the night before Grey comes to Waltham. Sasha's scheduled to do a Q&A with Brandeis alum Scott Feinberg after the screening. Anyway, here's the trailer for the film.

  1. This is the worst photo of Sasha Grey that you can find and doesn't do her any justice.

  1. Hmmm... Unlikely that the Globe could publish any of Sasha's "best" photos, Pluto!

  1. The artsy fartsy folks over at the film club at Brandeis should see what she really does for a living. Put it this way...She can probably eat a banana without taking a bite.

  1. I'm pretty sure it was the only photo they could find where she was wearing clothes.

  1. What euphemism do you use when she's no longer a struggling actress?

  1. Are you kidding me? Sasha is perfect for Brandeis. They'll be all kinds of whaling and protests against the movie and Sasha and how we'll here all about how the adult film industry uses women. They'll be so much soul searching the campus will ache. What a calculated load of dung on the part of Brandeis.

Of course, soon after Sasha will sure to be making an appearance at Wesleyan to much the same response.

  1. Put it this way, she leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination in her day job, how we she come across in this film, who knows.

  1. I just recently ran across her on the net by accident. And she is fascinating. She’s very different. I don’t know what to make out of her. But I find her precious, and very exciting. She’s got powers, or I would not have felt it and been drawn to her at this time.

    Fascinating...

I’m looking forward to seeing her in GFE.

  1. Hey Parents, aren't you glad you are paying those high tuition fees? Its a bargain considering your kids get to study PORN in school. They graduate highly educated alright. This is the best possible use of your money, or so says a system that will keep you paying the debts for years. Oh, and the great thing is after graduation they get to work for free for a few years as INTERNS. What a great system, and you fall for it...

  1. Hey Jack ass..the kids aren't studying porn. They're studying film and the people who make them.

  1. imagine the postings by people not only uneducated by higher education, but totally out of touch with the education of those who choose to really live and experience life. sadly ditto heads explode when stretched.

  1. If the point is an education in film then you study Kurosawa, Bunnel, Hitchcock, Goddard, Wilder, Scorsese etc. But Soderbergh and Sasha Grey? This is an education in wanking. The only reason Sasha Grey is at Brandeis is her talents as a porn star. Who are you tryin' to kid?

  1. I don't know if "The Girlfriend Experience" will compare to "Secretary's Day 3".

All of you should go out and check out Secretary's Day 3. It's one of her best films yet.

  1. While Sasha may not be Eva Angelina, Gia Paloma or Tianna Lynn, she is among the top ten adult film actresses today. Many people may bash porn stars, but Hillary Scott became the first porn star to become a millionaire in 2007. Good Luck to Sasha and her new mainstream film.

  1. Jenn, why does making money not only excuse but justify everything?

  1. I'm a fan of Soderbergh's work, plus Sasha is hot. I'm interested in real people playing themselves. It's like she doesn't have to act it comes naturally. I'm going to watch it on demand on Amazon since I don't want to wait around until it's in theaters.
