The gang from "Grown Ups" finally got going today, filming scenes at Pilgrim Church and the Old Burial Ground in Southborough. The movie, directed by Dennis Dugan, stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, and Colin Quinn. The story centers on a bunch of dudes, and their respective spouses, who return home for July 4th after a 30-year absence. (The film's female leads include Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, and Maya Rudolph.) Written by Sandler and "Joe Dirt" scribe Fred Wolf, "Grown Ups" will be shooting mostly in Essex for the next two months. Yesterday, cast members were dressed in dark suits for a funeral scene.

  1. Oh my goodness! this might sound wierd but that girl in the picture with Chris Rock and Rob Schneider looks so familiar! I come from LA and see lots of people daily but for some reason she looks like someone that has been in several movies before. Would anyone know if she was in Uptown Girls or The Clique? Please let me know because i am very interested!
    Thanks,
    Heather

  1. This is in response to the first comment: If you are going to insult someone, at least learn how to spell the words correctly, douche bag. Who cares what team he's a fan of, seriously.

  1. Does anyone know who the blond actress in Grown Ups is? She came into the Shell Shop in Rockport a few weeks ago with Adam's wife and bought one of my seashell "sailors' valentines" and I'm dying to know who she is. Adams' wife Jackie introduced herself to the owner and may contact me about a special order. I sold 3 of them last year to Sandra Bullock. I wonder who this other actress is? Anyone know?
