Did MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann throw a fit when Ben Affleck appeared on Rachel Maddow's show instead of his? That's the word, according to CityFile, which says Olbermann was furious when his MSNBC colleague booked Ben in April. Seems Olbermann, whom Ben impersonated on "SNL," wanted the actor all to himself. (Ben was doing press at the time for "State of Play.") Gawker's got the rundown, including the denial from Olbermann's peeps.

  1. Wow. I must be getting old. I can remember when The Boston Globe was synonymous with "journalism," which involved "standards," "confirmation," and "credible sources." May I suggest, Mr. Shanahan and Ms. Goldstein, that you find a dictionary soon and familiarize yourselves with these concepts.

  1. Why not read Keith Olberman's detailed response at dailykos?

He didn't throw a fit - his mother died.

  1. Get it straight, you HACKS. There is absolutely ZERO evidence to this story. In fact, it has been refuted by EVERYONE involved in the story. That is, except the panty-waste who manufactured the story and the IRRESPONSIBLE hacks at Boston Globe who continue to "specualte".

    Oops...your bias is showing. Again.

  1. Keith had a lot to do with Rachel getting a show on MSNBC and has done everything to support Rachel's show. She got exposure as Keith's guest host when he would be off.
