"Grown Ups" goes deep with Dugan

Kelly Dugan, the top pick of the Philadelphia Phillies in this week’s MLB Draft, is the son of moviemaker Dennis Dugan, who's in Essex at the moment directing the Adam Sandler comedy "Grown Ups." Just so happens Kelly was with his dad when he got the call from the Phils, and the cast and crew were there to congratulate him. (Sandler and castmates Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider have all known Kelly since he was a squirt.) Said Sandler: “I used to hear Dennis tell stories of little Kelly Dugan hitting home runs onto the 405 Freeway in tee-ball. I’ve always loved the kid and can’t believe I have to root for him when the Phillies play the Yankees.”
