Drake Bell is in town today, which is a very big deal if you're a 7 to 13-year-old. Bell -- who's a pal of Amanda Bynes and starred on the Nickelodeon show "Drake & Josh" -- stopped by the Cape Cod Mall in the afternoon to meet with fans before his show at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. About 500 Bell supporters showed up for the event, some of whom arrived at 6 a.m. If you would like to give your own child the experience of seeing Bell in person, he'll be at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree tomorrow from 2 to 3 p.m. before his show at the South Shore Music Circus. For obvious reasons, we recommend getting there early. A note to grown-ups: you might actually enjoy seeing Bell perform in person. He played the young John Cusack in "High Fidelity," and was taught to play the guitar by Roger Daltrey, of the Who. Not so bad, right?

  1. It’s great that Drake has the opportunity to meet some of his fans during this tour... but this article got one thing wrong… It’s not just 7-13 year olds who are excited by this. I'm 26 and am dying for a FL date so I can see him live. There are many others with me (well over the age of 13... well over the age or 20 or even 30) who sit eagerly waiting for each tour date to be announced, fingers crossed that it will be in our area. Drake's fan base is much more then tweens these days and I would love it if more media acknowledged this.

  1. I agree withwith Thea I am over 30 and find his music refreshing and fun and very original he is not just for kids this musician is better than most around and I see him as a permanent fixture in the entertainment game for both music and acting. He may be young but that doesn't hide talent and his music is very versatile. I saw him in IL and he was amazing.

  1. Thea: Not really. You and a few others may be an exception, but that doesn't his fan base doesn't still consist mostly of tweens (some of whom may have emerged as teens). Don't get me wrong - Drake Bell is a decent musician. A fact is a fact, though.

  1. I agree Thea. I'm 19 and have met Drake once and seen him twice already and would love to see/meet him again.
