Matt Damon on "Entourage"

It was only a matter before of time before Matt Damon made an appearance on "Entourage." According to TV Guide, our Hollywood homeboy will play himself on a new episdoe of the HBO hit. Poking fun at his do-gooder image, Damon apparently goes to great lengths to persuade Adrian Grenier's character Vincent Chase to donate money. "The joke is that Matt is very passionate about his charity -- almost in a stalkerish kind of way," Grenier told the magazine. "Vince becomes intimidated by his intensity. He ends up bullying Vince into giving much more than he should." The new season of "Entourage" premiered last night.
Here's the updated 411 from TV Guide:
Matt Damon has shot a top-secret airport scene for Entourage’s sixth season finale. “It wasn’t hard to get him,” executive producer, Doug Ellin, tells TV Guide Magazine. “Matt came on the phone with me and wanted to do something that focused on his charity, One By One, which helps kids all over the world.”
When Ellin was recently honored by Chrysalis, an organization that helps L.A.’s homeless, he felt compelled to reach out to his famous friends for donations. “I came up with a similar idea for Matt,” explains Ellin, who also nabbed basketball star Lebron James for the finale. “Lebron and Matt have a scene together and they just kill it!”
“They were just amazing,” concurs castmember Kevin Connolly (Eric). “Doug wrote a scene where we’re all at the airport together. Matt was all smiles. He was definitely there to have fun.”
“Matt gets Vince to make a massive donation. He’s like, ‘Bro – whip out your checkbook!,’” reveals co-star Emmanuelle Chriqui (Sloan).
“The joke is that Matt is very passionate about his charity – almost in a stalkerish kind of way,” tells Adrian Grenier. “Vince becomes intimated by his intensity. He ends up bullying Vince into giving much more than he should.” The season finale airs Oct. 4.
And here’s the skinny on former Friends star David Schwimmer’s August 2 guest appearance. “David comes in as himself to discuss projects with my character, who is a TV agent,” previews the show’s Gary Cole (Andrew). “He pokes fun at himself and Friends. We have a meeting about what his next TV project should be.”
