Michelle Monaghan says she’s looking forward to being back in the Bay State for the first time since shooting “Gone Baby Gone.’’ (She played Casey Affleck’s girlfriend in big brother Ben Affleck’s directorial debut.) Monaghan and director James Mattern will be at the Woods Hole Film Festival tonight for a screening of their film “Trucker,’’ in which Monaghan plays a long-haul trucker with a complicated family life. “I have an 8-month-old daughter, but I shot this prior to her birth,’’ says the actress, comparing her “Trucker’’ role to real life. “My life before a child was full of freedom, but it’s just as fantastic now.’’ Monaghan, who also worked with Matt Damon on “The Bourne Supremacy,’’ said Ben was a pleasure to deal with on “Gone Baby Gone.’’ “I was game to try the Boston accent, but Ben cleverly put in that my character had moved from New Hampshire,’’ she said. “He knew the danger to the film if the accent wasn’t done well.’’ For tickets to the screening, click here.
