When Ernie met Joel ...
The strange bromance between "The Soup" host Joel McHale and local car magnate Ernie Boch Jr. continues. Earlier this year, Boch delivered a bottle of wine to McHale after his show at the Wilbur Theater. Sweet, right? When McHale returned to the Hub this week for local shows this weekend, the friendship continued. Boch helped McHale after he lost his luggage at the airport, and the two have dinner plans for tomorrow in Newport. Not surprisingly, it was Boch who pursued the friendship with the E! star. The car guy loved watching "The Soup," so he had his people contact McHale's people about a dinner. They ate, they got along, and the rest was history. Ah, platonic male love. McHale will soon appear in the Matt Damon movie "The Informant!"
