Cam Neely gives B's uni a Classic makeover

Cam Neely will never be confused with Calvin Klein, but he knows a thing or two about fashion. That's why the hockey Hall of Famer was tapped to design the jersey the Bruins will wear at the Winter Classic at Fenway. "I think some of my wife's skills have rubbed off on me," said Neely, referring to his styling spouse Paulina. "I don't watch 'Project Runway,' but I di pay attention." The B's have worn many jerseys over time, and Neely looked at all of them. In the end, he took elements from the franchise's most successful teams. The Winter Classic jersey will be brown and gold, for example, because those were the colors worn when the Bruins won their first Stanley Cup in 1929. And the sweater has laces on the collar, a characteristic of the Bruins jerseys of the 70s, when they won two Cups. "The management group likes it, and so does my wife," said Neely. Did he show it to his hockey-loving buddy Denis Leary? "No," said Neely, "but Denis will definitely be at the game."
