First look at Cruise and Cameron in "Knight & Day"
Wasn't it just a few weeks ago that Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were running around South Boston shooting scenes for "Knight & Day"? Well, the trailer for the film directed by James Mangold is already online, and, truth be told, it looks pretty entertaining. (The same cannot be said about too many made-in-Massachusetts movies of recent vintage.) An action-comedy originally called "Wichita," "Knight & Day" is about a handsome man of mystery and his accidental paramour who become embroiled in a bit of international intrigue. (The film costars Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Olivier Martinez and Viola Davis.) The bulk of the movie, which will be released next summer, was shot in and around Boston. We get a glimpse in the high-octane trailer of the fiery plane crash staged in a cornfield in Bridgewater and the high-speed car chase that was handled by Cruise's stunt double Casey O'Neill. At one point, Diaz's character tells her friend: "They snatched me up and the next thing you know I'm in 'Grand Theft Auto' on I-93." If we have a complaint, it's about the ballcap Cruise is wearing. It's blue with a B on the front, but it looks to us more like a UCLA Bruins hat than a BoSox lid.
