Aerosmith and Tyler back on the road
Finally, some closure on the ongoing Aerosmith saga …
More than six months after Steven Tyler fell off the stage during a show in South Dakota, and just weeks after the band was said to be auditioning singers to replace Tyler while he was in rehab, the Boston band has confirmed, via a video posted on its website, that Tyler is still in the group. "I just auditioned and I got the gig," jokes the flamboyant frontman, surrounded by bandmates Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, and Joey Kramer (missing is Brad Whitford).
The news that Tyler is sticking around isn't that much of a shock. The band recently announced that it would be playing the UK's Download Festival, in addition to other European dates. Tyler and friends are calling this run of shows "COCKED, LOCKED, READY TO ROCK TOUR!"
