TIME thinks highly of Scott Brown
TIME magazine will post its list of the 100 most influential people in the world on its web site this morning, but we got a sneak peek. The list includes Ted Kennedy successor and onetime Cosmo centerfold Scott Brown, about whom former governor Mitt Romney writes a little boilerplate background: "The Republican longshot tossed a sign into the back of his now famous truck and drove to heavily Democratic South Boston, where he stood by himself in front of McGoo's Pizzeria on West Broadway and passed out campaign brochures." Other locals on the list include Deborah Gist, commissioner of Rhode Island schools, and Amy Smith, founder of MIT's innovative D-Lab.
