montro.jpgA few years ago, we wrote a profile of the unofficial barber of the Boston Red Sox, a fellow who called himself LMontro. (His real name - Angel Lucas Pena - is much less exotic.) LMontro was a particularly good pal of Manny Ramirez, and when the spacey slugger was shipped to LA, the barber headed west, too. We didn't see him around Fenway as often after that. Well, LMontro's back. He's still cutting hair, but he's re-branded himself as Monster99. Clearly, his long history comes as news to reporters at the Manhattan Times and Boston Herald, which have both written about him in recent days as if he's a complete unknown. He's not.
