Gingerbread contest: Lorraine’s Cake & Candy Supplies, Inc. is holding its annual gingerbread house contest on Saturday and Sunday. Entries from the public are welcome up until Friday at 5 p.m. Rules include all house decorations must be edible, only one person can create each entry, houses from people age 16 and over must fit on a base no larger than 14” x 14” and houses from children 15 and under must fit on a base no larger than 12” x 12”. Nutcracker: The South Shore Ballet Theatre is holding its Nutcracker production this weekend at Derby Academy : 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
