There's Mother's Day, Father's Day, Secretary's Day, Groundhog Day, and Mexican Day of the Dead, to name a few. The latter originated with the Aztecs and honors departed loved ones. Today's "Day of the Dead" at the Peabody Museum from 4 to 6 p.m. celebrates with crafts, entertainment, food, and workshops. Noberto and Ventura Fabian carve dancing chickens art; Harvard's "Ballet Folklorico de Aztlan" perform traditional Mexican dances; visitors sip Aztec chocolate made with chili peppers (no sugar, sorry); artsy folks can make sugar skulls art, help with the festival altar, and honor departed loved ones with a message. Museum admission: $9, $7 for students and seniors, $6 for ages 3-18. Peabody Museum, 11 Divinity Ave., Cambridge, 617-496-1027. peabody.harvard.edu![]()
