ImprovBoston's 'Holiday Three Way'

December 20 - 29

Email|Print| Text size + By Karen Campbell
December 20, 2007

ImprovBoston's annual holiday celebration ratchets up the cringe factor with a riotous take on the dark side of the season. This irreverent collection of one-act plays and performance pieces forgoes the nice in favor of the naughty, with popular holiday stories twisted into such unconventional treatments as film noir, silent movies, and the angst of David Mamet. Expect portraits of painfully awkward family gatherings fueled by dangerously spiked eggnog. Might make your own dysfunctional holiday moments seem bright by comparison. Yo ho ho. 8 p.m. (Fri and Sat 8 and 10 p.m.) 1253 Cambridge St., Cambridge. $15-$17. 617-576-1253. improvboston.com
