Reverse the purse

Globe Staff / December 28, 2007

Change Handbags is a great name for a purse business, but not for the obvious reason. The bags will hold your quarters, but Boston-area owners Meg Dwyer and Sara Aibel chose the name because they're dedicated to helping women. The business partners donate 10 percent of their annual profits to Horizons for Homeless Children, Dress for Success, and REACH. The name is also perfect because the Reversible Handbags flip inside out to reveal a second color. The leather purses can be ordered with a clutch insert which can be used separately - that's really three bags in one. You can choose from Hobo and Satchel styles. $375, $390 ($19 clutch insert). changehandbags.com
