G-L-O-R-I-A "Gender is probably the most restricting force in American life, whether the question is who must be in the kitchen or who could be in the White House," Gloria Steinem wrote in a recent op-ed piece in the New York Times. "This country is way down the list of countries electing women and, according to one study, it polarizes gender roles more than the average democracy." Tonight the Students for Reproductive Rights at Wellesley College host a sold-out lecture by Steinem, the cofounder of Ms. magazine and a clear voice for equality and women's rights. Her talk will be broadcast on a video screen set up in an overflow room. 7:30 p.m. Wellesley College, LuLu Chow Wang Campus Center, Tishman Commons, Wellesley.TONIGHT
Dorm Sessions at Berklee Given the current trend of artist-take-charge recording, it's refreshing to support the underdog.
