"Chess" at Boston Conservatory Boston Conservatory resurrects the musical "Chess," which paired Tim Rice's musical talents with the music of Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson from ABBA and re-imagines it as a concert performance. Chess tells the story of a love triangle involving American and Russian chess players at the height of the Cold War. If you think you don't know "Chess" you're probably wrong. In the 1980s, "One Night in Bangkok" hit the charts despite being what boiled down to a rap about chess because, heaven help us for saying so, it was catchy. Fri & Sat 8 p.m., Sat & Sun 2 p.m. $20, $10 seniors, $5 students. Boston Conservatory Theater, 31 Hemenway St. 617-912-9222. bostonconservatory .eduSaturday
