Walk
Today is the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, the two-day benefit that raises money for disease prevention and a cure. It's too late to sign up (unless you show up to the starting line with an $1,800 check), but you can cheer on the walkers. You can find "cheering stations" online. You can also attend closing festivities tomorrow at UMass Boston (100 Morrissey Blvd.) at 3 p.m. The closing party includes speeches by local breast cancer survivors. avonwalk.org
