You may kiss the cupcake

The cupcake craze is spreading - they're even being used as wedding cakes, which means the bride and groom won't have to bother cutting the cake before they smoosh it in each other's faces. If you're looking for a tasty, smooshable treat, try Sweet, Courtney Forrester's new Back Bay cupcake boutique. We give a thumbs up to the lemon (complete with a candied lemon twist on top) and the dark chocolate cupcake with rich, creamy frosting. Another goody is the organic karat, a carrot cake with organic carrots and crushed pineapple topped with cream-cheese frosting and an edible gold leaf petal. May they be eaten happily ever after. Today's hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. $3.25, $2.25 (mini). Sweet, 49 Massachusetts Ave., Boston. 617-247-2253. sweetcupcakes.com [J.W.]
