At the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History, retirement is not an option for canceled postage stamps. The museum parcels them out today at Happy Birthday USA Family Day when visitors will use them to decorate mugs, picture frames, and plates. Other stamp-related activities include games, puzzles, scavenger hunts, and designing patriotic stamps. When the kids need fresh air, head outside, grab some chalk, and play stamp hopscotch. Also timely: Check out "The Olympics on Stamps" exhibit. Picnics are welcome. Noon-4 p.m. $5, $3 seniors, free under 17 (includes a packet of stamps and refreshments). Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History, Regis College, 235 Wellesley St., Weston. 781-768-8367. spellman.org
