While Davis Square in Somerville hosts its annual ArtBeat festival today, Hyde Park invites you to a similar event - ArtScene - which also features performances, food, and arts and crafts. A section of Fairmont Avenue near Logan Square will be closed off for vendors selling everything from handmade soap to photography (Ellie Keenan's photo "Quebec Rooftops," right), and parking lots around the square will host activities for children and performances by musicians (including the folk act Banyan), dance groups, (including the Haitian dance troupe Arc en Ciel), and freestyle bikers from Max's Bike Shop. 4 to 9 p.m. Free.
