Watch and learn

We were trudging around town last week looking for a bar that was showing the presidential debate with the volume on. Why? Because we really can't take so much prevaricating nonsense without a couple of drinks. But tonight we've got our locale planned out: Tommy Doyle's, which is hosting Debate Watch 2008. The event, sponsored by American Jewish World Service and AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, will have election trivia, voter registration tables, and information about getting involved in social justice groups in the area. Plus it's nonpartisan, so all you misguided souls from the other side, whichever side you think that is, are invited too. 21+ 7:30 p.m. Free. RSVP required.
