Make a pilgrimage
It will be time to stuff bread crumbs into a turkey cavity before you know it, and what better way to gear up for the holiday than by spending time with some true Thanksgiving experts. At the four-day Plimoth Plantation Harvest Festival, you can try your hand at bread baking and pea threshing (makes turkey stuffing sound like a piece of cake), watch wool-dyeing and cooking demonstrations in the 1627 English village, and see what mishoon burning is all about (hint: the end result is a canoe). There's also a daily Thanksgiving-inspired luncheon to get you in the mood. 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (through Monday). Admission is $24, $22 for seniors, $14 for kids, free under 5. Plimoth Plantation, 137 Warren Ave., Plymouth. 508-746-1622. www.plimoth.org ![]()
