"The Winter's Tale" Actors from the London Stage touring Shakespeare company bring "The Winter's Tale" to Wellesley College Theatre. Critics aren't sure what to think of this play. Was it one of his first or one of his last? Is it a comedy or a romance? But audiences can depend on this company to bring the Bard of Avon to life before your eyes.

"Godspell" Yes, Godspell is the Gospel according to St. Matthew as only Broadway could imagine it, but something in John-Michael Tebelak's score keeps the show fresh generation after generation. With cabaret numbers like "Turn Back O Man" about forswearing foolish ways and a raucous solo from Jesus about the hypocrites in power, this show feels contemporary. Eastern Nazarene College's communication arts department uses new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and sets its production in an ancient circus tent. The clown metaphor underscores the innocence of faith.
Thu-7:30 p.m.; Sat, 4 and 7:30 p.m. $12; $10. Eastern Nazarene College, Cove Fine Arts Center, 23 East Elm St., Quincy. 617-745-3715. www.enc.eduTomorrow-Oct. 26
