The day after

You know what today is? Boxing Day. It's a holiday that's not really celebrated in the US, but the bands at the Middle East Upstairs tonight hope to change all that. Chin Strap, Triple Thick, Noble Rot, and Jake and the Jakes are putting on a Boxing Day Celebration that should feature lots of guitars and maybe some maracas (thanks to Triple Thick). Boxing Day is all about giving to those less fortunate, so feel free to buy any members of those bands a drink. 9 p.m. $8.
