With two museums for different age groups, the Discovery Museums are a perfect way to avoid the "I'm bored" syndrome. Today's "Get the big (little) picture" at the Science Discovery Museum for school-age kids is all about size. Young investigators will look at man-made and natural objects through a computer microscope and jeweler's loupes. At tomorrow's 10 a.m. "Shake, Rattle, and Roll into 2009" at the Children's Discovery Museum, toddlers and preschool children will make a confetti sound shaker and a sparkling crown. Today's activities are from 1-3 p.m. Free with admission of $9, $8 seniors, $13 for both museums ($12 seniors). 177 Main St. (Route 27), Acton. 978-264-4200. www.discoverymuseums.org
