EXHIBITS
"Roxbury Community College Library Celebrates African American History Month" is a month-plus work of art. In a 34-foot-long photo display titled "A Timeline of African American History," visitors can follow history starting with the arrival of the first Africans to Jamestown, Va., in 1619 and ending with the election of our new president. The "Third Annual African American Quilt Exhibit" is a collection of two dozen handmade quilts by Roxbury Community College professor Michelle Howard-Harrell and her "quilting sisters" from the Boston area. Today's hours are 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. (Through March 15). Free. Roxbury Community College Library, 1234 Columbus Ave., Roxbury. 617-541-5323. www.rcc.mass.edu/lib![]()
