Elliot Norton-winning actor Jacqui Parker works all aspects of the stage as an actor, playwright, director, and presenter of the African-American Theatre Festival. Parker is the artistic director of the Our Place Theatre Project, which runs the festival to showcase the acting, singing, writing, and directing of Boston's African-American performers. The four festival plays are tonight's "Mother G" (below) by Robert Johnson (for ages 12 and older), followed on other dates by Lillian Hellman's "The Children's Hour" (ages 10 and older), and Parker's "Feathers on My Arms . . . Zora Neale Flying High" with "Bess the Brave" (ages 10 and older). "Mother G" is tonight at 7:30. (The festival runs through June 13.) $15-$35.
