Two Boston passions - baseball and music - team up for charity tonight at “Hot Stove Cool Music: The Summer Sessions VIP Party,’’ before a concert by the Counting Crows. At the biannual event, started by Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein, Peter Gammons (below) of ESPN and the Hot Stove All-Stars will rock out with Letters to Cleo frontwoman Kay Hanley. Sports memorabilia, tickets, and restaurant deals will be auctioned, all proceeds benefiting a foundation to be named Foundation to be Named Later. 5:30 p.m. $125 for VIP tickets (Hot Stove Party and Counting Crows show).
