Things to do
Today is devoted to honoring the country’s veterans who have served and sacrificed for the common good, and one way to pay tribute is at the Veterans for Peace Benefit at Johnny D’s. A portion of tonight’s proceeds will support a Veterans for Peace project that provides housing for vets with substance abuse problems. The Willie Sordillo Jazz Group, Swing Cafe with Billy Novick, and Pat Scanlon and Friends are some of the local musicians supporting the cause. 7:30 p.m. $15.
