Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter fans will flock to Hogwart's Square (aka Harvard Square) for the Harry Potter Party July 15. A screening of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" in the Charles Hotel's courtyard will be followed by a midnight celebration at the Harvard Coop, for the release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
Help your dog keep cool in Boston's summer heat and donate to the Trust for Public Land at the Bark and Bath Charity Dog Wash, Saturday, July 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge.
See what it's like to be Tiger Woods for a day at the Michelob Ultra Golf Tour July 9 at the Stow Acres Country Club. The tournament is open to players of all ages and skill levels.
Critics have compared them to everything from '80s bands like Depeche Mode to more recent groups like The Killers and the Strokes, but one thing's for sure- The Bravery's music will get you moving. They take the stage at the Roxy July 14 at 7 p.m.
For those who are a bit more cultured, the 10th Annual French Film Festival at the Museum of Fine Arts begins Thursday, July 7, at 8 p.m. with "36 Quai des Orfèvres," directed by Olivier Marchal.
Picture this: you're standing on stage at the Hatch Shell on a summer evening in a fancy tuxedo, with an eager audience behind you and the Metropolitan Wind Symphony following your direction. This dream could be a reality if you enter the Metropolitan Wind Symphony's auction to be guest conductor at their performance July 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Butterflies at the Museum of Science
Enjoy the Museum of Science's Butterfly Garden and learn everything you ever wanted to know about these colorful creatures.
Graphic Novelist Danijel Zezelj proves that cartoons can be dark with his "Stray Dogs" exhibit at at the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum through August 21. The exhibit consists of 72 of Zezelj's black and white illustrations from his novel of the same name, depicting the life of a journalist in New York City.
Call it the extreme event of benefit walks. The upcoming Breast Cancer 3-day walk through New Hampshire and Massachusetts July 8 to 10 benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and will test how far you are willing to go for a good cause.
If you can't get Red Sox tickets, why not try watching a different sport- lacrosse! The Cannons, Boston's major league lacrosse team, have only lost one game since their season began on May 29, and they'll take on the Baltimore Bayhawks July 16 at 7:00 p.m. at their home, Boston University's Nickerson Field.

The Boston International Film Festival runs through Sunday, June 26 at several local theaters. The festival's short and feature length films include "Monet's Palate" with Meryl Streep and "Drum" with Taye Diggs.
The Boston Harbor Hotel offers a variety of free weeknight entertainment through Sept. 1. Activities include "Friday Night Movies by Moonlight" and the "Blues Barge" featuring local blues artists.
Donate $25 towards the care of a Burlington boy suffering from cerebral palsy and you could win a chopper custom designed by the Orange County Choppers crew from the hit Discovery channel TV show "American Chopper."

Bring the kids to Boston Harborfest Children's Day at City Hall Plaza June 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The New England Aquarium and Bush's Baked Beans will provide free activities and food in honor of the nation's birthday.
