Vegetarian society hosts 10th food festival

More than 100 exhibitors, free food samples, speakers, and cooking demonstrations will be featured Saturday at the Boston Vegetarian Society's 10th annual food festival. Jill Nussinow, author of ''The Veggie Queen," will be among the cooks showing how to make recipes. Dr. Paulette Chandler, a practicing physician who teaches at Harvard Medical School and is director of Natural Healing Pathways, will speak, as will Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of the United States. Groceries and natural food stores will feature displays at the daylong event at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center. Attendees will be able to shop at special rates. The festival is free.
