`` Eat In, Act Out, " a nationwide week of events promoting local foods, kicks off Monday . Several Massachusetts farms and businesses will participate, including Land's Sake in Weston and Crescent Ridge Dairy in Sharon, as well as restaurants such as Oleana in Cambridge and Tremont 647 in Boston. Rialto in Cambridge will offer a $55 prix fixe meal of local ingredients. The menu will include lasagna of wild greens, grilled striped bass, and stone fruit tart.
The program was launched last year by the Food Project, an organization with offices in Lincoln, Dorchester, and Lynn that promotes a sustainable food system. Food Project interns are scheduled to hand out carrots and talk to people about local foods next Wednesday in Copley Square. For more information on the week's events, visit www.thefoodproject.org, where you'll find ways to keep track of where your food comes from.
