| Salt and pepper, to taste | |
| 3 | tablespoons olive oil |
| 3 | cloves garlic, chopped |
| 2 | teaspoons crushed red pepper |
| 3 | tablespoons unsalted butter |
| 2 | pounds green beans, trimmed |
2. In a small skillet heat the oil, garlic, and red pepper over low heat for 2 minutes, or until the garlic is brown. Add butter and cook until it melts; remove from heat.
3. Cook the beans in the boiling water for 2 minutes, or until bright green and tender. Drain and return to the pot. Toss with the oil mixture, salt, and pepper. Keri Fisher ![]()
