Lemonade

Lemonade

Makes 2 quarts When you have a dozen lemons, a couple of limes, and a good recipe, you can make a pitcher of deliciously refreshing old-fashioned lemonade.

6 cups cold water
1 1/2 cups sugar, or more to taste
2 cups lemon juice (from about 12 lemons), rinds reserved
1/4 cup lime juice (from about 2 limes)
1. In a large plastic container, combine the water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

2. Stir in the lemon and lime juices, and lemon rinds. Chill until very cold. Taste for sweetness and add more sugar, if you like. You may need to add up to 1/2 cup more. Serve over ice. Adapted from "Lemonade."
