Quick Tip #1: Better Oil Container

Frugal shoppers often buy cooking oil in 1-gallon cans, which are bulky to store in the cupboard and are especially difficult to pour. We suggest transferring the oil to a more manageable receptacle. Fill a clean plastic syrup container with a flip top with the oil. Now, if you need only a tablespoon or two, you can squirt it out in a neat little stream. A sports water bottle with a pop-up spout can be used for the same purpose.
